Prior authorization exists for a reason, but the process around it is slow, manual and easy to lose track of. Pharmacies and prescriber offices are left trading phone calls and faxes while patients wait to start their medication, and some never do.
Approvio grew out of years of experience inside pharmacy operations, watching that happen. We built a company around a simple idea: the work of getting a prescription approved should belong to someone whose whole job is getting it done.
So that's what we do. We work alongside pharmacies and prescribers, handle the back-and-forth with insurance carriers, and keep everyone, including the patient, informed until there's an answer.
